Pronti a ballare senza pensieri? I BOYNEXTDOOR sono tornat! Freschi di comeback, i ragazzi della KOZ Entertainment hanno rilasciato ieri, 13 maggio 2025, il loro quarto mini album, No Genre, un titolo che è già tutto un programma. E a guidare la carica c’è la traccia I Feel Good, un vero e proprio inno alla spensieratezza.
Il cuore pulsante di questa nuova era musicale dei BOYNEXTDOOR si può riassumere in una frase che sta già facendo il giro del web: “Meaning? Theme? Who needs stuffs like that?” (“Significato? Tema? Chi ha bisogno di queste cose?”). Queste parole, estratte direttamente dal testo di I Feel Good rappresentano la filosofia che pervade l’intero progetto. Prodotta dal genio di Zico insieme a Pop Time e Kako, e con il contributo dei membri Jaehyun, Taesan e Woonhak, la canzone è un concentrato di energia positiva e audace fiducia in sé stessi.
Dopo averci raccontato le cotte adolescenziali in Serenade e le turbolenze emotive di But Sometimes (뭣 같아), e aver giocato con elementi più complessi in tracce come Earth, Wind & Fire, i BOYNEXTDOOR con No Genre abbracciano una libertà espressiva totale. L’album, composto da sette tracce (inclusa la versione inglese di I Feel Good), è un invito a lasciarsi andare, esplorando sonorità diverse senza il peso delle etichette, proprio come suggerisce il titolo.
E il video musicale? Una festa per gli occhi! Coloratissimo, divertente e con quell’estetica kitschy che fa subito sorridere, l’MV è la perfetta rappresentazione visiva della gioia e dell’energia del brano. Le coreografie sono contagiose e i ragazzi sembrano divertirsi un mondo, trasmettendo una vibrazione positiva che è impossibile ignorare.
Insomma, i BOYNEXTDOOR con I Feel Good e No Genre ci dicono chiaramente di goderci la musica, il momento, senza troppe domande. E come dar loro torto? Volume al massimo!
