Quando RM, leader dei BTS, ha condiviso un momento di sincera vulnerabilità durante la live del 6 dicembre 2025 su Weverse, ha portato alla luce una verità rimasta per lungo tempo implicita: l’idea di una pausa o di un congedo non è stata, ha rivelato, un pensiero passeggero. È stata un’opzione soppesata “decine di migliaia di volte” (ne abbiamo parlato qui). Più che una confidenza rivolta ai fan, le sue parole hanno segnato un raro atto di trasparenza sulla condizione di una delle forze artistiche più influenti al mondo, costretta a confrontarsi con un peso emotivo fatto di aspettative, dubbi e responsabilità.
In risposta diretta, l’ARMY ha riportato Anpanman – nona traccia dell’album Love Yourself: Tear del 2018 – ai vertici delle classifiche internazionali attraverso streaming coordinati e scelte volontarie. Non una tendenza spontanea o una strategia di marketing, ma un gesto deliberato per ridare centralità a un brano che incarna l’identità più vulnerabile dei BTS: quella di eroi imperfetti che continuano a offrire ciò che hanno, nonostante i propri limiti.
Il brano fa diretto riferimento al personaggio di Anpanman, figura tutt’altro che ornamentale. Nato come serie di libri illustrati da Takashi Yanase nel 1973 e successivamente trasposto nell’anime Soreike! Anpanman (Let’s Go! Anpanman), il protagonista — un eroe con la testa di pane dolce ripieno di pasta di fagioli rossi — è conosciuto come “l’eroe più debole”: non salva grazie a poteri straordinari, ma donando parti di sé per aiutare chi ha bisogno. È un’immagine che risuona nella poetica dei BTS: l’eroismo non come trionfo, ma come disponibilità a mostrarsi fragili.
Questa risalita in classifica è stata accompagnata anche da una lettera aperta dell’ARMY, diffusa su scala globale, che esplicitamente rifiuta l’idea di caricare il gruppo di ulteriori aspettative: «Non vogliamo che proviate alcuna pressione da parte nostra […] ciò che desideriamo è che vi sentiate al sicuro, supportati e pienamente compresi».
Le parole di Anpanman, che ribaltano il concetto tradizionale di supereroe e celebrano un eroismo fatto di imperfezione e prossimità, diventano così una risposta calibrata al momento che il gruppo sta attraversando. Se i BTS sono sotto il peso delle aspettative globali, i fan scelgono proprio il brano che riorienta l’idea di eroismo verso una dimensione più umana.
Il risultato è un gesto collettivo che non celebra un ritorno, ma afferma una posizione: non serve essere invincibili per continuare ad andare avanti. In questo scambio, l’ARMY ha scelto di trasformare una confessione di fatica in una forma di sostegno concreto, ricordando che dietro uno dei progetti culturali più osservati al mondo ci sono, prima di tutto, sette persone.
