Va detto subito: guardare il MV di SPAGHETTI prima del caffè del mattino è stato una ginocchiata nello stomaco. Il ritorno delle LE SSERAFIM, ufficializzato oggi, 24 ottobre 2025, con il loro primo singol album SPAGHETTI, è un assalto sensoriale che cerca in tutti i modi di essere iconico, a partire dalla collaborazione di alto profilo con j-hope dei BTS.
L’intera campagna promozionale “EAT IT UP!” e il concept del brano ruotano attorno a una metafora fin troppo letterale: l’ossessività, l'”attaccarsi” come spaghetti. Musicalmente, il brano è un caotico ibrido di alternative pop e funk, progettato con l’intento dichiarato di essere impossibile da ignorare.
Le dichiarazioni delle membri confermano questa intenzione. Kim Chaewon, la leader del gruppo, ha spiegato che la canzone è pensata per essere “impossibile da togliersi dalla testa“, proprio come degli spaghetti “incastrati tra i denti“. Hong Eunchae, la maknae, ha rincarato la dose, parlando di un “fascino da cui è impossibile sfuggire“. Huh Yunjin, infine, ha ammesso che la visione originale era quella di creare un “momento ossessivo e di dipendenza tra amore e odio“.
Obiettivo raggiunto, forse fin troppo bene. E’ come se le LE SSERAFIM abbiano confuso l’insistenza con l’impatto. Il risultato è un brano che cerca di essere “sicuro e giocoso” ma suona invece un po’ stridente, calcolato, freddo. Nemmeno l’intervento di j-hope, che doveva sigillare la hit, riesce a dare equilibrio a un piatto volutamente caotico, che più che “impossibile da sfuggire”, risulta solo… saturo. Peccato.
