Seonghwa rilascia il video musicale di Skin, il suo brano solista estratto dall’album Golden Hour: Part. 3 – In Your Fantasy Edition degli ATEEZ.
A un primo ascolto, Skin sembra muoversi lungo il territorio dell’attrazione intensa e del desiderio, evocando sentimenti così profondi da apparire “scritti sulla pelle”. Tuttavia, il video musicale apre a una lettura diversa e più intima del brano, suggerendo un messaggio che va oltre la dimensione puramente sensoriale.
Il testo racconta il potere magnetico e l’influenza di una presenza capace di generare emozioni travolgenti, paragonabili a un fuoco che cresce senza poter essere ignorato. Questa figura, però, non rappresenta un’altra persona: è una parte di Seonghwa stesso. Il legame descritto è quindi interiore, un confronto diretto con il proprio io più profondo.
Nel video musicale, come lo stesso Seonghwa ha spiegato, si assiste a una progressiva accettazione della dissoluzione della propria esistenza, imparando a respirare proprio nel momento in cui ogni confine viene meno. L’idea di “affrontare l’annientamento e la rinascita insieme a un altro sé dominante” costituisce il nucleo concettuale dell’intero progetto.
Accettando quella parte di sé, nasce un nuovo io. Questa trasformazione prende forma nella scena finale del MV, in cui Seonghwa viene completamente consumato dal serpente: un’immagine che simboleggia la scomparsa del “vecchio sé” e una rinascita totale.
In Skin, ogni tocco e ogni respiro diventano sensazioni tangibili, destinate a lasciare un’impronta profonda non solo sul corpo, ma anche sull’anima.
