Non capisco ancora bene il coreano. Eppure, solo guardando l’MV, il tema della canzone risulta immediatamente chiaro. Le immagini di Fame ci investono con una narrazione visiva che non ha bisogno di sottotitoli: c’è il luccichio accecante dei flash, la frenesia degli styling impeccabili, ma negli occhi dei membri si legge una disconnessione palpabile. È il racconto visivo di chi è al centro del mondo, ma si sente irrimediabilmente solo.
Musicalmente, questo ritorno segna una sterzata decisa rispetto alle melodie nostalgiche a cui ci avevano abituati. A sei mesi dal full album Odyssey, i RIIZE si buttano nel “Rage-Style Hip Hop”, un sottogenere fatto di synth distorti e bassi che vibrano nella cassa toracica. Non è una scelta casuale: la produzione, curata da HARING (MonoTree) e dal team di THE HUB, con testi di BIGONE, usa queste sonorità abrasive per mimare il caos interiore del successo.
Durante lo showcase di presentazione, i ragazzi non si sono nascosti dietro frasi di circostanza. Anton ha spiegato il nucleo tematico del brano: la fama, per quanto dorata, perde ogni sapore se non è condivisa con qualcuno che si ama davvero. È un’ammissione di fragilità che rende il testo molto più di un semplice esercizio di stile. A questo si aggiunge la performance fisica: Wonbin ha confessato che la coreografia è talmente intensa da rappresentare una vera sfida per le loro energie, quasi a voler consumare fisicamente quel senso di vuoto. Fame è il paradosso dell’idol: avere tutto, e sentire che manca l’essenziale.
