Gli ATEEZ sono tornati e lo hanno fatto con un brano che rientra pienamente nel loro vocabolario sonoro. Adrenaline, title track del mini album Golden Hour: Part 4, è un pezzo ad alta tensione, costruito per imprimere ritmo e pressione fin dal primo ascolto.
Adrenaline è una traccia ad alta tensione, costruita per spingere e accendere il corpo prima ancora dell’ascolto razionale. Parte e non concede tregua.
Fin dai primi secondi del brano è difficile restare immobili. La progressione ritmica trascina, mentre il pezzo successivo al Pre-Chorus crea una sospensione ipnotica che prepara l’esplosione finale. La coreografia, alla cui ideazione ha partecipato San, segue la stessa logica: struttura complessa, movimenti serrati e nessuna concessione decorativa.
Come anticipato dal gruppo, Adrenaline recupera l’urgenza degli esordi ma la rilegge con una consapevolezza più matura. Quando la ascolti non vieni portato in un altro “mondo” qualsiasi, ma trascinato con forza e coerenza nell’universo narrativo degli ATEEZ, richiamando e rafforzando i codici visivi e performativi che li contraddistinguono.
La canzone sembra quasi un motore al limite dei giri, dove controllo e caos convivono senza annullarsi. Le sonorità EDM, secche e compressissime, non solo caricano di energia il brano, ma preludono a una resa dal vivo che si preannuncia fisica, frontale, molto ATEEZ.
Pur appartenendo alla serie Golden Hour, Adrenaline si distingue immediatamente. È una deviazione riconoscibile già al primo ascolto, segnale di una fase che guarda al passato senza restarne prigioniera.
