FYA. FYA non è una acronimo ma la trascrizione fonetica di “fire”. La quarta traccia di ARIRANG, l’album dei BTS uscito oggi, è una di quelle che capisci subito a livello fisico, ancora prima di provare a caprine le parole. Ti prende con un’immagine semplicissima — il fuoco — e la porta in giro fino alla fine senza alleggerirla mai: tutto brucia, tutto è acceso, tutto è troppo, nel senso migliore possibile.
Il bello è che il pezzo non cerca profondità in modo artificiale. Lavora tutto su tensione, temperatura, euforia, su quell’idea di serata che a un certo punto smette di essere solo festa e diventa qualcosa di più grande, ingestibile. Il club impazzisce, i corpi seguono il ritmo, il linguaggio si fa sempre più acceso, e FYA finisce per costruire un’atmosfera che sta a metà tra party anthem e esplosione controllata.
Anche il testo va dritto lì. “Gasoline”, “burnin’ out”, “two hundred degrees”, “don’t stand too close” sono immagini evocative, che continuano ad alimentare la stessa sensazione: quella di un pezzo che vuole bruciare tutto quello che incrocia, senza pausa, senza mai raffreddarsi. Solo spingere sempre più in alto il livello di energia.
Poi ci sono i riferimenti pop, che rendono tutto ancora più esplicito e divertente. Le citazioni a Thriller e a Britney aiutano FYA a dichiarare apertamente il proprio mondo: club-oriented, costruito per essere vissuto in modo immediato.
